Chapter Eighteen – Revealing the Curse

January 18, 2010

Per tractus quod per vicis , meus vox grows infinitus. A vomica super DiPotere versus goes sicco super terra quod mare.

That’s ‘Throughout space and throughout time, my power grows infinitely. A curse upon the DiPotere line goes out over land and sea.’

A vomica pro women sic divinus suum vox adveho volo. A vomica super women novem quisnam won’t exsisto seen iterum.

Which means ‘A curse for women so divine; may their power come to me. A curse upon the women nine who won’t be seen again.’

Generations mos senium pro should forensis pervenio decem, tunc quod tantum tunc vadum meus vomica adeo an terminus.

And finally ‘Their generations will decline unless the legacy sees ten, For then and only then will my curse come to an end.’

So, put together you get…

Throughout space and throughout time, my power grows infinitely.

A curse upon the DiPotere line goes out over land and sea.

A curse for women so divine; may their power come to me.

A curse upon the women nine who won’t be seen again.

Their generations will decline unless the legacy sees ten,

For then and only then will my curse come to an end.

Bianca turned from the table, where she had been laying out breakfast. For a moment, she had a look of understanding. Then, as Emmy watched, a shade of puce crept up Bianca’s neck and into her face.

“I’m going to be sick,” said Bianca as she made a dash for the bathroom.

Joel set Phebe in her high chair and glared at Emmy. “Now look what you’ve done,” he said.

Emmy simply stared. Men sometimes. “You idiot! Don’t you know by now?” she said. “She’s not upset. She’s pregnant!”

“Pregnant? Again?”

“Oh boy.”
